Pantone has recently released their Fall 2011 Fashion Color Report which showcases a selection of designers and what colors they’ll be using for their fall collections.
I must say, I’m very delighted by the color palette. The colors seem to be brighter than last year and designers appear to be paying attention to texture, color, and contrast. There’s a very nice balance of bright, cool, and neutral tones being used. As much as I’m ready for warm weather to arrive this cheery color palette will keep me excited for fall.

3 things I’m currently loving:
Lots of sparkle. I’m always a sucker for all things shiny and sparkly! Makes me happy…

Lots and lots of bangles, bracelets, watches, etc. Normally, I wear a light amount of accessories, mostly dainty pieces. Don’t get me wrong, I love accessories, but I just tend to wear very little at once. Lately, I’m loving loads of them at once. Maybe not as many as shown below, but you get the idea.

Lastly, pastels have been catching my eye. Soft, subtle, and graceful.

“A color for all seasons. Courageous. Confident. Vital. A brave new color, for a brave new world. Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you and carry you through the year. It’s a color for every day - with nothing “everyday” about it.”

I think Honeysuckle is a nice shift from Pantone’s 2010 Color of the Year, which was Turquoise. As much as I love Turquoise, I think this bright new color is a fresh start for the new year and will be a perfect hue for Spring.
