London Fashion Week Fall 2011: Matthew Williamson
I really liked the mixtures of patterns and textures in this collection. I’m not much of a fur person, but the way it was used in these looks made me think otherwise. I especially love the looks with the pants…I need some of those!! This collection exudes a bohemian-esque feel to it yet still looking somewhat sophisticated and put together.

New York Fashion Week Fall 2011: L'Wren Scott
L’Wren Scott’s latest collection really appealed to me because it doesn’t look like the typical fall/winter collections. There weren’t as many heavy pieces, but rather bright colors and light fabrics. The color combinations are very unexpected and make this collection all the more interesting. The hair and makeup works perfectly.

Sensual and sophisticated. This collection was a mostly subdued color palette except for some bold red pieces that were very striking. A lot of form fitting silhouettes were shown along with muted prints and lace detailing.

NYFW: Lela Rose
I adore this collection. I was very intrigued by the various prints and the way they appeared as abstract paint drippings or watercolor-esque. I’m a die-hard dress fanatic and there were plenty of beautiful styles in this collection, both knee-length and some knockout floor length gowns.

This is one of my favorite collections so far! Very ladylike yet had some menswear inspired pieces. Opulent textures and fabrics flowed through the collection; neutrals paired with gorgeous pops of color.

These are a few sketches showcasing a preview of Prabal Gurung’s latest collection, which will be shown at Lincoln Center for Fashion Week Fall 2011 on Saturday of this week.
This new collection is a collaboration between the designer and Swarovski and there will be many crystal-embellished dresses and tops. Looks romantic, I can’t wait to see the actual pieces!

Christian Dior Couture Spring 2011
If you haven’t seen the Dior Couture Spring 2011 collection you should definitely check it out… I thought some of the looks were absolutely gorgeous. I love looking at Couture lines because they’re so inspiring and creative; I just wish I could frame them and admire them all of the time.
